We undertake multiple surveys and subdivisions for our rural clients extending from South Otago to the Waitaki Valley and inland to the Maniototo. Our team undertook a large complex rural survey involving the subdivision of a 437-hectare farm near Milton with the outcome being seven new individual titles. The property covered a combination of rolling and steep country and had several land complexities. The underlying titles were limited to parcels so every boundary point had to be marked. Successful applications to Land Information NZ provided dispensation from pegging some of these.
There were multiple roads crisscrossing the site which remained within the historic Deeds Index System, one part of the farm was defined by a water boundary and overall the boundaries had old, poor, or in many cases no definition. Our surveyors used many years of experience to fit the pieces together to complete this complex subdivision.
